Nadine Levy Redzepi to do one-off dinner in London
For one night only, on Thursday 16 November, Nadine Levy Redzepi, Noma chef René’s wife and business partner, will be cooking with Tania Steytler, head chef at the contemporary Danish restaurant Snaps + Rye on Golborne Road, in Notting Hill. The evening, a celebration of Nadine’s cookbook Downtime: Deliciousness at Home, published this month by Penguin, will feature a Nordic menu of dishes from Downtime, including home-made potato crisps with anchovy hummus and salmon tartare; cold prawns in horseradish cream; and a pasta dish with braised pork cheek ragù. Hard on the heels of Itsu and Deliveroo, Carluccio's flagship in Covent Garden is throwing its own plant-based party this autumn, with an all-vegetarian weekly pop-up, when diners can choose from more than 20 Italian vegetarian and vegan dishes from Antonio Carluccio and cook and writer Anna Barnett. Legendary French chef launches new potato company
Pierre Koffmann — the iconic French chef — has launched Koffmann’s Potatoes, “potatoes for chefs.” Big Hospitality report that it is a partnership with Cambridgeshire-based Linwood Crops. The brand’s bio states: “Koffmann's Potatoes for Chef's created in conjunction with Pierre using his experience to create a product which delivers in all areas of the Potato ~usage~.” Ears to the ground for the verdict.
Big money champagne dinner with The Clove Club and Kitchen Table
On 4 November, The Clove Club’s Isaac McHale will join Jonny Lake of the Fat Duck, James Knappett of Kitchen Table and Arnaud Lallement of three-Michelin-starred l'Assiette Champenoise in Reims, at a £720 pp (inc VAT, phew) Gala Dinner for La Fête du Champagne at the Savoy Hotel, on the Strand.
