Not a week seems to pass without another announcement from Deliveroo — the London food delivery company on a relentless march to convenience preeminence. Last week it was pubs. This week it’s lunch boxes and it is called, yes — Lunchboxes — a new lunch time initiative in partnership with the restaurants from the company’s kitchen-only Editions programme. It launches this Friday, with each new set lunch option available for £6.
The Editions restaurant partners already included in the lunch time initiative include: Motu, Yoobi Sushi, Franca Manca, BabaBoom, Texas Joe’s BBQ and Mother Clucker, with the menu rotating every Monday.
Lunchbox meals available include:
- Chicken biryani and raita, by Motu
- Margherita pizza, mixed leaf salad and lemonade by Franco Manca
- Honey soy salmon bowl by Yoobi
- Chicken burger, sweet potato fries and ketchup by Tommi's Burger Joint

Rohan Pradhan, VP of Deliveroo Editions said: “At Deliveroo we’re always investing in new areas of innovation, be this our world class technology or new product offerings. Lunchbox brings office workers freshly made lunches, delivered to their desk from our restaurant partners, at compelling grab-and-go prices."
The service, which aims to target office workers, will be available Monday to Friday from midday to 3pm. Initially, the service will cater for east London, across The City and Canary Wharf. The plan is to extend the service across the city in the new year.
To celebrate the launch of Lunchbox Deliveroo will give away 7,500 gift cards for free lunches, plus advent calendars.
