Did Meghan Markle fancy some pasta ahead of the engagement announcement on Monday morning. A regular at Bocca di Lupo — the Soho restaurant that has become a celebrity favourite — insists that they spotted the soon-to-be wife of Prince Harry dining with a friend on Sunday. If it was her, she will now have to say goodbye to such casual jaunts to the acclaimed Italian.
Primrose Hill locals felt their spidey-sense tingling on Friday lunchtime as Andrew Garfield — who played Spiderman and is soon heading to Broadway in Angels in America — had a quick lunch in the leafy pocket of North London. He was seen at Greenberry Café on Regent's Park Road, where he ordered the Greenberry Salad.
Sometimes you want to dine at The Savoy, and sometimes you just want a takeaway. Sometimes, though you can have both. Kelly Brook was at The Savoy on Tuesday night for the British Takeaway Awards with her boyfriend Jeremy Parisi.
No question of mistaken identity for David Cameron, though, who dined at Yoshi Sushi on Sunday evening. The restaurant is a local favourite on Hammersmith's King Street, and David posed for pictures with his fans. Who knew he still had them?

Also out and about was Ed Sheeran, who headed to Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill after his Sunday night performance on X Factor. He took his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, and the show's judge Nicole Scherzinger. Will he bring Beyonce next time? He has just announced the release of a new collaboration.
Myleene Klass, meanwhile, spent Tuesday with her boyfriend Simon Moston at Cantina Laredo, the Mexican restaurant in Seven Dials. They had a tequila-fueled dinner with a group of friends.
Also on Tuesday, up in Mayfair, designer Sir Paul Smith was seen dining at Claridge's. He had been upstairs with stars including Lady Kitty Spencer and Victoria Pendleton, toasting the new Christmas tree, but wandered down to the Art Deco Foyer for a bite afterwards.
A spot of lunch for Melissa Hemsley at Thomas's, the stylish café in the Burberry store on Regent Street. The cookbook writer was there on Wednesday, and enjoyed a handsome serving of salmon with capers, caviar and shallots. "Thanks shallot", she said to the waiter as her food arrived. Maybe.
Now that David Beckham doesn't play professional football any more, he's allowed to indulge with some good old pie and mash every now and again. So he's become quite the regular at Tony's Pie and Mash, the cheap and cheerful Waltham Abbey pie shop. He was there again yesterday, and even wished the proprietor's son Lenny a happy birthday. David has said that the food reminds him of his grandfather. Staff at Tony's say that his sons also love the pies, but that Victoria is less keen. Not posh enough, perhaps.
