An even starrier night than usual at The Ivy on Sunday. Dame Maggie Smith and Sir Derek Jacobi chowed down in the best seats in the house, while Miss Moneypenny actress Samantha Bond and actor Freddie Fox played the roles of staff for the night for a special fundraising evening for Acting for Others. Classic Ivy dishes like miso charred salmon and shepherd's pie were on the special menu.

The Granary Square Brasseriethe new Richard Caring restaurant on the site of the old Grain Store — had a busy lunch service on Tuesday as GQ Magazine booked in for Christmas lunch. Dylan Jones, the magazine's editor, hosted; artist Tracey Emin, model Jack Guinness and rapper Tinie Tempah tucked in and pulled a couple of crackers. Everyone seemed too style-conscious to wear the paper crowns, though.

Models Poppy Delevingne and Adwoah Aboah were at George, the smart Mayfair restaurant on Mount Street, on Tuesday night. There was also a camel for some reason. The pair were there for Love Magazine's Christmas party.

David Beckham has been visiting Tony's Pie And Mash Shop in Waltham Abbey a lot recently, so is a big fan of a classic, cheap eat. But that doesn't mean he's lost taste for the finer things in life. The former footballer was at The Araki on Tuesday night. He must like his privacy: the three Michelin star sushi restaurant on New Burlington Street only seats nine people. He shared a snap on his Instagram story — a simple "wow" — which followed a series of pictures of sashimi and nigiri from the restaurant’s omakase.

Ben Fogle, writer, explorer and Castaway alumnus, was seen lunching at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge on Wednesday afternoon. He had a classic Christmas lunch: turkey with all the trimmings. Beats a Pret sandwich.

Vogue editor Edward Enninful grabbed a bite at ISABEL on Albermarle Street on Thursday night after an evening on the town. But he'd also been out for breakfast: he was seen grabbing a coffee at Pizza East Portobello earlier that day, with artist Juergen Teller and Vogue's Fashion Director Venetia Scott.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and new fiancée Meghan Markle were at Beach Blanklet Babylon for a bite and a drink on Thursday night. The bar and restaurant on Ledbury Road is a short walk from their Kensington Palace home so was the perfect venue for the staff Christmas party. The Duchess would have avoided the fizz though: she has another baby due in the New Year.

Jeremy Corbyn grabbed a coffee in Borough Market yesterday, at the Change Please coffee cart, which employs and trains homeless people. He also sung for his supper — Adam taught him to be a barista.
