The chef Selin Kiazim, whose first solo restaurant Oklava was added to the Eater London Essential 38 list on Tuesday, will open a second site in London this year.
It has been confirmed to Eater that Kiazim is opening a second restaurant and though confirmation of the particulars has not been forthcoming, this is what is known:
- The restaurant has begun advertising for staff via the industry app CODE Hospitality.
- It is thought to be opening in Fitzrovia, with a site mooted to have been found on Warren Street.
- A representative told Eater that it will be called Oklava.
- It will open in the late spring or early summer.
The advertisement for roles at the new restaurant went out on Monday, stating: “Selin Kiazim (one winner of Great British Menu 2017) is looking for senior chefs for both Oklava and a new opening Spring 2018. Oklava is a modern Turkish restaurant which opened to critical acclaim in 2015, the new opening will continue the contemporary Turkish theme with Mediterranean influence. They are looking for junior sous, sous and head chef roles.”
More soon.
