Fame Hungry: Celebrity Sightings in London Restaurants This Week

She put some pretty horrible things in her mouth in the jungle, so no wonder Georgia Toffolo — aka Toff — fancied some classic cuisine on Friday night. She spent the evening at The Ivy on West Street. Beats the bull’s penis, fermented duck egg soup and lamb’s anus that she had to sample on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Alexandra Burke had a reason to celebrate over the weekend. The singer and Strictly Come Dancing finalist just got engaged to boyfriend Josh Ginnelly during a romantic trip to Paris. On their return they spent Saturday night at Sushi Samba, the Brazilian-Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant on the 38th floor of Heron Tower.

Another Strictly Come Dancing night out on Sunday, as singer Louise Redknapp and TV judge Rob Rinder — who met while filming the BBC talent show — had dinner at Jason Atherton’s Berners Tavern in Fitzrovia.

That wasn’t it for Berners Tavern though. On Monday it shut its doors for a private dinner to toast the end of Men’s Fashion Week. GQ Editor Dylan Jones and singer Rita Ora hosted guests including Liam Payne, actor Idris Elba, diver Tom Daley, rapper Tinie Tempah and artist Tracey Emin for a three-course feast and lashings of martinis.

Model Lottie Moss turned 20 on Tuesday, and started the day at the gym. But she spoiled herself later, having dinner at Chelsea Italian La Famiglia. Guests included her half-sister and fellow model Kate Moss. Hopefully she has given up on the phrase “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” Was it the carabaccia that changed her mind?

Another starry night at Scott’s, the A-List favourite in Mayfair, on Wednesday. Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw — who met on the set of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom — had dinner on Wednesday night. But they weren’t alone: they were joined by Tom Hanks, his actress wife Rita Wilson and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston.

Girl from the North Country, the new musical using the songs of Bob Dylan, opened on the West End on Thursday night. Doctor Foster actor Bertie Carvel made a beeline for Haymarket restaurant Mint Leaf afterwards to toast the cast and have a bite.

Many happy returns to Pixie Lott. The singer was at Covent Garden Mexican Cantina Laredo on Thursday night to celebrate her 27th birthday with friends, family and a river of margaritas. Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock had had the same idea earlier that week: she was spotted feasting on vegan guacamole at the same restaurant on Tuesday night.
