2013 Australian MasterChef finalist Bonny Porter’s meatball restaurant — Balls & Company — on Greek Street in Soho has closed. The restaurant has been open since mid-2015, a brand that aimed to offer “an elegant alternative to the traditional male-focused meatball market.”
The business, which operated under Porter’s parent company Bonny Appetit Ltd., has not been active on Instagram since 18 December and the Twitter account is deleted. And a statement on a Balls & Company holding website reads:
Balls & Company has been a fantastic journey, however the time has come to close and make way for other opportunities in 2018 and beyond.
We would like to thank all our wonderful supporters over the past couple of years. It has been our pleasure to see you enjoy our restaurant just as much as we have enjoyed serving you.
Balls & Company may be closed, but we have an exciting 2018 in the works.

Modern riffs on traditional meatballs used ingredients ranging from Wagyu beef and pork to chicken; quinoa, beetroot and feta; and confit salmon. As well as a classic tomato sauce, Porter offered the likes of béchamel, romesco and pesto.
It is understood that the lease on the site has been acquired by a new operator.
Eater London has contacted Porter for comment on what plans she has for the year ahead.
More soon.
