He ate at Core, the two Michelin-starred Notting Hill restaurant from Clare Smyth. The Beckhams live in nearby Holland Park.

A blustery Wednesday evening saw Alexa Chung seek solace in some classic Italian fare. The model, presenter and designer was at San Lorenzo, the Knightsbridge restaurant, for a big dinner thrown for her and other fashion types. The menu proved to be something of a tour of Italian cuisine: prosciutto, pasta, risotto and tiramisu were all on offer.
The cast of Creed 2, the Rocky spin-off, are in London on the promo trail but found time for dinner on Wednesday evening. Following a B.F.I. screening, the film’s stars Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson were among a group booking at Nobu in Mayfair, as was Bridgette Nielsen, who appeared in the original franchise and has returned for this film.
