Arnold Schwarzenegger Followed the Crowd for His London Dinner

Grime star Skepta had a swanky night out on Saturday. The Tottenham-born rapper was spotted having dinner at Nobu Shoreditch, the east London outpost of the restaurant empire.

Remember, remember, the 4th of November? Tamara Ecclestone, the entrepreneur and daughter of Formula One magnate Bernie Ecclestone, was among the diners celebrating Guy Fawkes’ Night one day early on Sunday. She was at The Ivy Chelsea Garden’s bash, sampling the jacket potatoes with caviar.

Well, he did say he’d be back: Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator actor and former Governor of California, was in London this week, and dropped into Annabel’s on Berkeley Square for a bite on Monday evening.

Also at the hotspot this week was Madonna: the singer was there for a nightcap on Tuesday night, at the same time as Bollywood legend Anil Kapoor ate in one of the private dining rooms. Then, on Wednesday, there was something of a feast: Kate Moss, Matt Smith and Princess Beatrice were among those at a charity dinner for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Susanna Reid had a break from tolerating Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan on Tuesday. She was seen on a date with Steve Parish, her boyfriend and chairman of Crystal Palace. They chose Yauatcha, the Chinese restaurant on Soho’s Broadwick Street.

Keeley Hawes, the star of BBC hit Bodyguard who definitely won’t be back for series 2, dined in Notting Hill on Tuesday evening. She was with former Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman at Golborne Road favourite 108 Garage. Wagyu beef, octopus, and chocolate artichokes were on the menu.

Pieces of Me singer Ashlee Simpson enjoyed a date night with her husband Evan Ross, actor and son of Diana Ross, on Tuesday night. The pair dined at Bagatelle, the French restaurant on Dover Street.

Luke Evans, the Welsh actor who starred in Beauty and the Beast and The Hobbit, dined at the Sativa Text Kitchen this week. Sativa, a vegetarian and organic “vertical farm”, is launching next year but has opened something of a pop-up eatery in W8. Evans was there on Tuesday.

And let’s not forget: The last time Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were spotted eating out in London, they were at Nobu. This week, they’re economising. The singer and model were seen at Rose Cafe on Finchley Road on Thursday morning, enjoying a quick breakfast at the unassuming greasy spoon. She had a fry up and Bieber had a “bespoke vegetarian” breakfast: a meal that would have given them change from a tenner.
