EATER TALKS: What Brexit means for restaurants in London
Eater London and Ace Hotel London will host 2018’s final Eater Talks panel discussion on Tuesday 11 December. We will explore the issue of Brexit and what it will mean for London’s restaurants in 2019. Aiming to shed light on what it means for an industry so reliant on European workers, Jeremy King, of Corbin & King and Monika Linton, will be asked: Who, in short, will work in restaurants to fill the void left by the expected shortage of EU workers? How significantly could prices rise? Can we expect wholesale closures? Are restaurants doomed or are there any remote positives to be drawn? And what is the industry doing to prepare?
This talk will seek to understand — from the point of view of two high-profile operators with multiple businesses in London — as best it can, the precise effects of the most significant political event in a generation.
7pm, Tuesday 11 December, 2018
Entry: Free with RSVP — Rooftop, 7th floor, Ace Hotel, Shoreditch.
