Bridget Jones was all about the calorie counting but Renée Zellweger, the American actress who plays her, is luckily more open to enjoying a sweet treat or two.

She popped in to Popina, the Mayfair café and deli, for some coffee and cake on Saturday afternoon. You’re likely to see her around a lot these days: she is in London filming a new Judy Garland biopic.

An Easter treat for Bobby Norris on Saturday. The Only Way Is Essex veteran took his mum for lunch at The Ivy — the West Street original, washing everything down with a couple of cocktails.

Later that night, Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock toasted the Christian holiday with Mexican cuisine. She was seen sampling a vast range of guacamole at Covent Garden’s Cantina Laredo. She seems to be quite the regular at the Seven Dials restaurant: she must like the margaritas.

It was a busy Easter for celebrity-spotting staff at Queen’s, the ice rink and bowling alley which also functions as an outpost for carnivore-friendly burger chain MEATliquor. The Voice judge Jennifer Hudson, former Prime Minister David Cameron and ex-footballer David Beckham were all seen there enjoying a skate, a bowl and a bite over the long Easter weekend.

Happy Birthday to Ruby Benthall, who would be the best thing about Poldark if not for the occasional topless scything. She celebrated her 30th birthday with dinner at Gymkhana —the Mayfair Indian which every celebrity worth their salt has visited. You may recognise her doppelgänger mother Janine Duvitski, of Benidorm and One Foot In The Grave fame.

Best birthday!! #Spoiltrotten

Chris Hughes, who coupled up in last year’s ITV smash Love Island, recently separated from his onscreen girlfriend Olivia Attwood. But he’s definitely moved on: he spent Tuesday afternoon having lunch and drinks with a group of women including model Lottie — half-sister of model Kate. They ate at Bluebird Chelsea, the King’s Road cafe and clothes shop.

Tuesday isn't so bad; it's a sign I survived Monday.. My favourite 4 acquaintances

Patsy Kensit, the actress and ex of Oasis star Liam Gallagher, has occasionally exhibited the so-called trout pout. This week she embraced the fish comparisons by grabbing a bite at seafood restaurant Scott’s on Wednesday. She ate with Brix Smith Start, former guitarist for The Fall.
