Jones & Sons, the British restaurant and cocktail bar founded by operator Andy Jones in Dalston in 2013 — which later expanded on Gillett Street in 2016 — will open a second site under the same brand in the Angel Central shopping centre, in Islington, this June.
Head chef Kieran Hope has been with the company since it opened — a chef who counts Bistrotheque, Le Pont de la Tour and Hix among his previous employers — will move over to the new site in Angel. He is expected to create a similar offering as in Dalston, with brunch and lunch menus, bar snacks and plates, as well as a la carte and fixed price menus. Seasonal menus will change every six to seven weeks.

Also confirmed for site number two is Jones & Sons weekend “bottomless brunch” and famous Sunday lunch.
The new restaurant will feature 70 covers in the main restaurant and 24 on their outside private balcony. By offering full table service, which is described as a “grown-up departure from the clamour of Angel Central and this end of Upper Street” will seek to avoid the fate suffered by chef James Cochran, who opened in the development last year but was forced to close after four months claiming it was a pop-up. Angel Central features mainly takeaway and quick service food operators as well as a cinema and other retail businesses.
