Rapidly expanding U.S. burger chain Shake Shack is confirmed to be opening in the new Wembley Boxpark when it opens later this year — in addition to its new City restaurant announced this week.
Boxpark has announced this week that it has secured 75 percent of vendors for the new Wembley development, which will include 24 different food and drink operators, as well as 20,000 square feet of events space in what will be the company’s biggest project to date — and its first (USP klaxon!) to be entirely indoor.
In addition to Shake Shack — for which the Wembley opening will mark its ninth London restaurant — Boxpark has confirmed it will also feature stalls from U.S. chicken mega-chain Wingstop, as well as Ugly Dumpling, Poptata and The Athenian.
Wingstop, for its part, is expected to open its flagship UK restaurant later this year on Shaftesbury Avenue — the opening in Boxpark clearly marks the intentions of a company set to open 100 restaurants in the UK over the next decade.
