Back to Cantina Laredo for Little Mix. Leigh Anne Pinnock, one quarter of the X Factor-winning girl group, was back at the Covent Garden Mexican restaurant on Friday night, yet again sinking the margarita cocktails and sampling the guacamole. We can surely expect a Little Mex rebrand.

You wouldn’t necessarily think Orlando Bloom would be making a beeline for Chiltern Firehouse — in 2017 The Sun reported that a waitress was dismissed from her job at the restaurant for, erm, fraternising with the Lord of the Rings actor. But a year on from the alleged incident, he returned there on Saturday night for dinner with pop star girlfriend Katy Perry, who is in town for the London leg of her tour.

Russell Crowe, Oscar-winning star of Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind, was in London on Sunday and enjoyed a spot of lunch at Maze Grill in Mayfair. He later tweeted Gordon Ramsay — the restaurant is part of his empire — to tease him about the decor.

Also on Sunday, Hammersmith’s beloved restaurant The River Cafe put on a spread for an NSPCC fundraiser. Actress, model and swimwear designer Liz Hurley was among the diners, as was model Eva Herzigova and photographer Mary McCartney, daughter of Beatle Paul.

Alto, the Italian eatery on the roof of Selfridges, has done the noble thing and put a big screen on its terrace for the World Cup — the Veuve Clicquot enterprise has been nicknamed the “Bro-sé” terrace. Reggie Yates, the TV presenter and radio DJ, was seen taking in the rays and watching the England match on Monday evening.

Singer Jorja Smith, whose recently released album has received universal acclaim, toasted to her success on Wednesday night with dinner at Sexy Fish in Mayfair. She was spotted dining at the Berkeley Square venue — part of Richard Caring’s Caprice Holdings group — with an unidentified gentleman.

Across the square at the new Annabel’s, a cluster of celebrities arrived for dinner. Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish were there on Wednesday evening, as was director Trudie Styler (wife of Sting) and Sir Michael Caine.

What lovely weather we’ve been having. Actor Douglas Booth made the most of the Soho sun on Thursday afternoon, sitting outside Berwick Street cafe Flat White with a female pal.
