Chef Oded Oren will succeed TaTa Eatery at Borough Wines Kensal Rise, with his residency beginning 22 August and running until 28 October.

Oren was previously chef in residence at Oval Space, before another pop-up at Borough Wines Islington and a stint at Louie Louie in Elephant and Castle, where Jay Rayner called his ox cheek and hummus dish one of the best of 2017. He follows Zijun Meng and Ana Gonçalves’ Portuguese-Chinese pop-up, which was roundly praised for its clever, considered cooking, as well as a certain katsu sandwich.

The menu will feature lamb sweetbreads with za’atar and lemon, a squid pita and the aforementioned ox cheek and hummus, with Oren seeking to reflect the diverse influences of Tel-Aviv in his cooking: Israeli, Yemenite, Moroccan, Tunisian and Spanish cuisines are all at play. Small plates and sharing dishes are naturally the order of the day, ringing in between £3.50 - £17.00
