Snoop Dogg is releasing his first cookbook. From Crook to Cook, with Chronicle Books, will collate 50 recipes from the rapper’s personal recipe collection; it will be distributed in the U.K. by Abrams and Chronicle Books.
Snoop Dogg’s cookery profile went through the roof when he collaborated with walking lifestyle brand and established meme template Martha Stewart. Their cooking show, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, was nominated for an Emmy, with Snoop Dogg presenting blazed, buzzed, and more likely both.
The book will feature recipes ranging through staple classics, weeknight favourites, and what Snoop calls “upper echelon fare,” which translates as lobster and filet mignon. The book will be published 23 October, with a series of cannabis-themed books promised for 2020; these will, hopefully address some of the structural inequalities around the representation of weed in food.
Snoop Dogg said:
“You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen. I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favorite recipes, ya dig?”
