Love is still in the air for several of the Love Island residents who have now traded Mallorca for London. Dr Alex, however, is still very much single, and this week he tagged along on a double date. He joined couples Charlie Brake and Ellie Brown and Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel for dinner in Mayfair on Monday. They were spotted at El Pirata, the tapas restaurant on Down Street.
The quintet weren’t the only Love Islanders out and about this week. Contestants Megan Barton-Hanson, Zara McDermott were in East London for a bite at the Lokkum Bar & Grill in Woodford on Monday night. Ellie Brown hot-footed it over from Mayfair to join them later in the evening. And then, on Wednesday night, fan favourite Samira Mighty was back at Soho’s 100 Wardour Street for dinner.
Today, writer, actor and general wit Stephen Fry celebrates his birthday, a milestone he shares with Fortnum & Mason CEO Ewan Venters. They toasted the event early, with dinner at 45 Jermyn Street on Monday night. Well-wishers included actress Anna Friel, who paid tribute to the pair on Instagram.
American actress Chloe Moretz, star of Kick Ass and ex-girlfriend of Brooklyn Beckham, is in London promoting her new film The Miseducation of Cameron Post. Thankfully not scared off British cuisine by this week’s New York Times article, she was at Gymkhana, the Mayfair Indian restaurant beloved by the A List, on Tuesday night. The next evening, she hosted a screening of the film before a late dinner at Berkeley Square’s Sexy Fish on Wednesday.
Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood had dinner with his wife Sally and his ex-wife Jo on Tuesday night. The trio were all at Scott’s, the Mayfair seafood landmark, for the 35th birthday celebrations of Tyrone Wood – Keith and Jo’s son.
Where do you go for dinner after a terrifying near-death experience? Rapper Post Malone is in London this week ahead of a set at Reading Festival. Earlier this week, his private jet blew two tyres and had to make an emergency landing, but he’s safely on the ground now and was in need of sustenance on Wednesday evening. He dined at C, the Mayfair Italian.
