London chef and author Yotam Ottolenghi has announced that he will launch a new podcast, with the first of seven episodes airing tomorrow (1 September 2018.)
“Simple Pleasures” will feature a range of guests, including the actor and broadcaster, Michael Palin, author and Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, the composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, singer-songwriter Jessie Ware, cookbook author and celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, Ottlenghi’s collaborator on his book, Sweet, Helen Goh, and the presenter Fearne Cotton.
The series will offer “an intimate glimpse” into the chef’s kitchen as well as tips on how to find ease at home based on Ottolenghi’s own methods for entertaining.
Announcing the podcast on Instagram, the TV chef and author said, “Folks, I’ve got a new podcast coming soon: a series of conversations with brilliant people about life’s simple pleasures. We start with food, obviously, and naturally move on to other great joys... like dessert.”
Named as one of Eater’s most anticipated cookbooks this autumn, Ottolenghi’s latest cookbook features recipes that are simple in at least one (but very often more than one) way. In it, he uses a key: S — short on time: less than 30 minutes; I — 10 ingredients or less; M — make ahead; P — pantry; L — lazy; E — easier than you think.
Simple is published in the U.K. on 6 September. (On 16 October in the U.S.)
