London’s most captivating restaurant plans two-Michelin-star collab
Newly Michelin-starred Ikoyi will host two-Michelin-starred Tokyo restaurant Florilège on 21 February. “ A unique menu blending techniques and new perspectives on our native and specially sourced products” will consist of nine courses at £80, in the format of a blind tasting. Call Ikoyi to book.
Two leading London chefs face off, Ready, Steady, Cook!-style
Merlin Labron-Johnson and Francisco Mazzei will cook off at Mazzei’s Battersea restaurant, Fiume, in aid of London-based food waste charity, The Felix Project. Each chef will cook dishes using ingredients from the charity on 28 January, with diners voting using the BBC programme’s iconic red tomatoes and green peppers. Mercato Metropolitano signs on to Elephant and Castle development
The Elephant and Castle ‘regeneration’ that will leave at least 43 predominantly Latinx restaurants at risk of forced relocation or termination has made room for one of London’s most identikit food markets. Mercato Metropolitano will open “the U.K.’s first artisanal food factory” on the Elephant Park development.
