Thursday is the new Friday. Last Thursday saw many a celebrity go out for very, very late dinners. Desperate Housewives actor Eva Longoria, in town for her Global Gift Gala, followed the event with a bite at Mr Chow in Knightsbridge. And one of the guests, Love Island host Caroline Flack, went from there to Chiltern Firehouse — natch.
It was also a night of rock royalty coming together, right now, over me, etc. Sir Paul McCartney was seen at Gold, the restaurant and bar in Notting Hill. But he wasn’t alone. A diner says he was with Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones. No jam sessions, unfortunately.
It’s been a busy week at Annabel’s. Monday saw a long list of socialite and model types make for The Flowers Room — a private dining room covered in, you guessed it, flowers, for a dinner celebrating the latest collection by fashion brand Casadei. Amber Le Bon, Erin O’Connor and Neelam Gill were among the guests.
A few days later, things got a bit more spirited. Diners on the terrace on Wednesday evening were treated to a set from Kylie Minogue, as she and her fellow fashion forward stars headed up for dinner, drinks and music after the launch of a new Louis Vuitton store. Lucky, lucky, lucky.
Also on Monday evening, Cartier hosted a suitably sparkling dinner at Chiltern Firehouse. Rita Ora was among the guests. The singer was just announced as the star of a new reimagined version of Oliver Twist, in which she plays the Artful Dodger.
A spot of lunch in Notting Hill on Tuesday for Lottie Moss, model and sister of Kate, and her friend Delilah Belle. The pair were spotted at Eggslut, the US export which arrived here in August, enjoying an oozy egg sandwich and coffee.
Happy Birthday to Vanessa White, former Saturdays singer. She turned 30 this week, and celebrated with a slap-up dinner at Bagatelle, the French and Mediterranean restaurant in Mayfair. Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud and Eastenders actress Louisa Lytton were among the well-wishers.
