Now that London Fashion Week has been and gone, Victoria Beckham can have a little break. She and husband David had dinner at three-Michelin-starred restaurant The Araki in Mayfair on Saturday night, which does a mean sushi omakase for £310.
Just when the world thought the celebrities had abandoned Chiltern Firehouse, it gets another bumper week. Rihanna, who has been renting a house in St John’s Wood, was seen there by a fellow diner on Tuesday night. And a day later Harry Styles was spotted there too, with Sir Mick Jagger — something of an influence on Harry’s heartthrob career — was a few tables away.
The Ivy City Garden, the Ivy’s outpost on Old Broad Road, threw a dinner in aid of wildlife charity The Elephant Family on Monday evening. Model Sarah Ann Macklin and actress Laura Pradelska were among the supporters. A few days later, on Wednesday night, the franchise had another VIP: Sir Michael Caine and his wife Shakira were out at The Ivy Chelsea Garden.
Bagatelle, the Mayfair restaurant, toasted one year since its opening this week with a special VIP dinner on Tuesday evening. Guests included Rafferty Law — son of Jude Law and Sadie Frost — and Vanessa White, the singer and former Saturday.
Up on Finchley Road, trendy Italian Terra Terra launched officially with a bit of a feast. Lady Mary Charteris, chef Isaac Carew and actor Phil Dunster were among the guests. Head chef Massimo Miolo provided grilled vegetable and ricotta paccheri, wild mushroom and taleggio pizza, and plenty of white negronis.
Former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews and his wife Vogue Williams were out for lunch in Chelsea on Wednesday. They were spotted at Purple Dragon with their baby son, Theodore.
Boris Johnson caused a Thick Of It-esque scene this week, when he was handed a disposable cup of coffee which was promptly removed by an aide. Nicky Morgan, the Conservative MP, has learned from the experience: she was spotted on Thursday morning at Pret a Manger in St Pancras, ordering a coffee in her reusable cup, according to EyeSpyMP.
