Happy Birthday to Caroline Flack! The TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing champion has turned 40, and celebrated the milestone with dinner at Bagatelle in Mayfair. She was spotted there by a fellow diner.

Not far away, another presenter was out and about. A fellow diner spotted Maya Jama at Sexy Fish with some friends.

Crouch End locals will be familiar with Banner’s, an all-day restaurant particularly busy for weekend brunch. It attracted a touch of Hollywood on Saturday morning: James McAvoy, currently playing Lord Asriel in His Dark Materials, popped in for a bit of brekkie.

A particularly busy Monday night at The Arts Club. Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden — both judges on Britain’s Got Talent — dined there together. Nicole Scherzinger, former Pussycat Doll and X Factor judge, was also there.

It’s thirty years since Boisdale of Belgravia — think red walls, tartan, steak, and cigars — opened its doors. They toasted the occasion this week with a special publicity event on Tuesday. Politician and general slimeball Nigel Farage was the most notable guest.

Farage likes the restaurant group: he has previously been spotted at Boisdale Mayfair with Boris Johnson.

The Derry Girls were out in South Kensington this week. Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Nicola Coughlan, who play Irish teenagers in the much-loved comedy, were at Daphne’s for a dinner hosted by sustainable fashion brand TiMo.

Millie Mackintosh, former Made In Chelsea cast member, has just announced that she’s having her first child. She must have dodged morning sickness: she was at Hide Piccadilly for breakfast on Wednesday morning, which hosted her latest collaboration with luxury fashion resale brand Cudoni.

Season 3 of The Crown is back this week, arriving on Netflix in one big batch on Sunday. The premiere was in Mayfair on Wednesday, and afterwards Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter and Tobias Menzies (who play the Queen, Princess Margaret and Prince Philip) joined the royal procession up to Annabel’s for a knee’s up.

It was an appropriate choice: The original Annabel’s is the only nightclub in which the Queen has ever set foot, and Princess Diana was also a regular.
