Hotel Café Royal appoints new executive chef
Marcus Klumb moves from Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square, which includes Anne-Sophie Pic’s Michelin-starred La Dame De Pic restaurant, to Mayfair’s Hotel Café Royal as the new executive chef. Klumb will be overseeing all food at the five AA starred hotel, including Laurent opened by chef Laurent Tourondel — which left Jay Rayner “dying of boredom” and “shameful pricing” — and Cakes and Bubbles from ex-ElBulli pastry phenom Albert Adrià. Ramsay goes stratospheric

He still thinks he can open “an authentic Asian Eating House,” FYI. [Hot Dinners]
