Many of the big stars flew into town this week in time for the BAFTAs. Bradley Cooper, nominated for A Star Is Born, was seen dining at LouLou’s in Mayfair on Saturday night with his girlfriend, model Irina Shayk.
A new kind of Sunday lunch arrived at The Ned over the weekend. The hotel and members’ club boasts several restaurants and on Sunday debuted its new brunch offering at Kaia. Cook and cookbook author Melissa Hemsley was among the guests on hand to sample the all-you-can eat selection of poke balls, sushi, and sashimi.
The battle of the BAFTA after party raged again this year, with two London restaurants vying for the title of ultimate host.
Annabel’s, the restaurant and members’ club in Mayfair’s Berkeley Square, hosted Vogue’s post-ceremony bash, with editor Edward Enninful, supermodel Naomi Campbell and Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne on the welcoming committee. Guests included Riz Ahmed, Kate Moss, Amy Adams and Timothée Chalamet.
Over in Marylebone, Netflix threw their own event at The Chiltern Firehouse. Viola Davis, Glenn Close and Roma director Alfonso Cuaron were among revellers.
Moonlight actor Mahershala Ali was also in town this week for the BAFTAs, where he won an award for his role in Green Book. The next night, on Monday, he was seen dining at Isabel on Albemarle St, where Esquire Magazine threw him a dinner to celebrate his new cover.
Model Amber Le Bon was among the guests celebrating Valentine’s Day early this week. She dined with friends Lady Sabrina Percy and Betty Bachz at Restaurant Ours in South Kensington on Tuesday night as part of a Perrier Jouet feast.
Double date night for Claudia Winkleman. The Strictly Come Dancing host was at 34 on Mount Street on Tuesday evening with her husband Kris Thykier. The pair were with comedian Michael McIntyre and his wife, Kitty.
Mark Wright, formerly of The Only Way Is Essex, and his actress wife Michelle Keegan also had a date night on Tuesday. They were seen ordering a pizza at Harry’s Dolce Vita, the Knightsbridge Italian.
