Last week saw various London restaurants compete to throw the best party following the BAFTAs. This week, the battle followed the Brit Awards. Marylebone’s Chiltern Firehouse hosted an intimate celebration for Warner Music, fuelling guests with Ciroc cocktails, fried chicken and the famous crab doughnuts. Singer Dua Lipa, actor Cuba Gooding Jr and activist Rose McGowan were among the guests.
Further East on Poultry, Soho House and Universal threw a party at The Ned, which welcomed model Lottie Moss and Jared Leto. Sony, one of the night’s big winners, celebrated at Aqua Shard, the British restaurant on the 31st floor of the Shard. Pink, who won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony, was among the guests.
Congratulations to Victoria Beckham, whose latest show was a highlight of London Fashion Week. Following the showcase of her collection at Tate Britain, the designer and her husband David Beckham took their brood — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper — for lunch at the Colony Grill Room at The Beaumont in Mayfair. Later that day, Victoria hosted a party at Mark’s Club, complete with drag queens dressed up as The Spice Girls.
More stylish hijinks on Monday night, when Erdem Moralioglu displayed his new collection at the National Portrait Gallery. Afterwards, he headed up the street to J Sheekey’s Atlantic Bar, where he and friends including Vogue editor Edward Enninful, Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery and It Comes At Night actor Joel Edgerton got stuck into the bar’s seafood.
Further west in Victoria, Tart London put on a spread for a dinner hosted by Net-a-Porter, the fashion retailer. They invited guests including Alexa Chung and actress Anna Brewster to the dinner which celebrated young British designers.
Last week Simon Cowell, the X Factor judge, took his partner Lauren Silverman out to dinner at The Arts Club. This week, a change of scene — a few streets away, at least. The couple were spotted dining at Harry’s Bar, the Mayfair Italian on James Street.
