Leading London chef launches charity dinner series for refugees
Merlin-Labron Johnson, former head and executive chef at Michelin-starred restaurant Portland, will launch a series of charity banquets in support of Help Refugees U.K. Chefs Imad Arnab of Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, Skye Gyngell of Spring at Somerset House, Wahaca’s Thomasina Miers, Labron-Johnson himself, and Maos’ Nuno Mendes will front the banquet, with five courses on offer.
Michelin-star-gazer launches sit-down restaurant at “street” food site
Rohit Ghai, chef-patron of new Chelsea restaurant Kutir, has launched Koolcha (KoolCha) at Boxpark Wembley. Diverting from the ‘street food’ shipping container model, a 60-seater restaurant will serve biryanis, kulcha flatbreads, and a paneer tikka masala sandwich. [Hot Dinners]
Magic Breakfast announces its next meal — brunch
