New pub and hotel from acclaimed Shoreditch operation launches food
The Buxton — a new pub with rooms from Shoreditch pub The Culpeper — will offer native breed beef, day boat fish, and “British bar snacks” when it opens in mid-May. Namechecked dishes include Dexter beef with celeriac remoulade and garlic and honey purée; asparagus with polenta chip (singular) and stracciatella; and treacle tart with clotted cream. [Hot Dinners]
Growing burger chain pivots to all-day dining

London’s Instagram-driven thirst for poke is going well for some
Island Poke — backed by Chris Miller’s White Rabbit Fund — will open a seventh restaurant, taking over Doughnut Time’s former premises in Victoria. It recently flew in Nancy Silverton to collab on a poke bowl, calling it “a real watershed moment for the brand.”
