Updated 16.04.19: with an opening date
James Ramsden and Sam Herlihy, the duo behind Hackney’s innovative fine dining restaurant Pidgin — which completely changes its set menu every week — will launch their third food business, Sons and Daughters, a sandwich, soft serve, and craft beer shop in Coal Drops Yard, the big-money new restaurant and retail development in King’s Cross.
Sons and Daughters will open in Coal Drop’s Yard in May.
Little information is known about the project, as the duo, which was forced to close its Mayfair restaurant Magpie last month, are for the moment keeping quiet. Some neat graphics, an opening date, and a list of things Sons and Daughters will serve has been released today, following a staff outreach last week.
A small blurb accompanying partner Herlihy’s latest tweet says that Sons and Daughters will be a “fast-casual sandwich bar from the team behind award-winning restaurants Pidgin and Magpie. All of our sandwiches are made in house using the freshest and best ingredients around.”
It is thought the duo is waiting for an alcohol license application to go through before further information is released.
More soon.
