Gavin Williamson was fired from his role as Defencee Secretary recently after being accused of leaking important information to press, a claim he denies. There’s a silver lining, though: he has time for lots of food content. Williamson enjoyed lunch with former Chancellor and newspaper editor George Osborne at the Ivy Kensington Brasserie on Thursday afternoon.

A bit of a Hollywood date night on Saturday. Liv Tyler, the Lord of the Rings actress and daughter of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, was at Harry’s Bar with her husband Dave Gardner. They were joined by Lock Stock director Guy Ritchie and his wife Jacqui.

As the cost of living is expected to rise thanks to Brexit, some of its major supporters were splashing the cash:

Former Prime Minister — and architect of Brexit — David Cameron dined at Mayfair private member’s club Morton’s on Tuesday.

The next night Kelsey Grammer, the Frasier actor who recently told the public to just get on with leaving the European Union, enjoyed a meal at The Arts Club.

Put the Cosmopolitans on ice, Carrie Bradshaw has left New York. Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker is in London, and dined in Covent Garden on Tuesday evening.

She and her husband Matthew Broderick — the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off actor currently appearing on the West End — were seen at Bancone, the pasta restaurant on William IV Street.

If the couple had chosen to dine at 34 instead they would have bumped into a former co-star. Alice Eve, the actress who has appeared in Star Trek: Into Darkness and the Sex and the City Movie sequel, dined at the Mayfair restaurant.

Also on Tuesday, Hollywood actress Olivia Wilde was out at Marylebone’s Chiltern Firehouse. She’s in town to publicise Booksmart, her directorial debut.

What a lovely pair… of meringues. Critic and journalist Grace Dent was at her beloved Gloria for dinner on Wednesday, and could barely contain her excitement when the lemon meringue pie desserts arrived.

Just another night in Mayfair for Tamara Ecclestone, socialite and daughter of Bernie. She dined at Park Chinois on Berkeley Street on Wednesday evening.
