Killing Eve Season 2, starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, features a few London restaurants and cafes. The new series just landed on BBC iPlayer and eagle-eyed Londoners identified Eve’s coffee shop as The Observatory in Bloomsbury; Killing Eve also filmed the pasta scene that nearly killed Villanelle at Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred City Social, in Tower 42.


Aidan Turner, the Poldark heartthrob, may have grown a beard but he still didn’t go unnoticed in London over the weekend. He was spotted at Soho House on Saturday evening.


Misha Nonoo, the fashion designer said to be the matchmaker who connected The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has launched a pop-up store in Marylebone. She marked the launch with a stylish celebration at The Chiltern Firehouse — natch — with guests including model Amber Le Bon.


GQ threw the most celebrity-heavy party at London Men’s Collections this week. The magazine’s dinner at Berners Tavern attracted singer Liam Payne, presenter Maya Jama, model Adwoa Aboah, Nick Grimshaw and Kelly Osbourne.


Sette, the restaurant at the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, only opened last week but is already attracting foodies in search of their new favourite. Heston Blumenthal was checking out the competition for his Michelin-starred restaurant opposite on Tuesday evening, as were fellow chef Pierre Koffmann, Bloomberg food critic Richard Vines, and TV presenter Laura Whitmore.


Happy sixth wedding anniversary to Tamara Ecclestone, the heiress and socialite, and her husband Jay Rutland. The pair celebrated the milestone with dinner at Harry’s Bar on Tuesday night.


Table for eleven? Holly Willoughby rocked up to Mnky Hse (MNKY HSE) for lunch on Wednesday afternoon with ten friends in tow including her This Morning co-host host Phillip Schofield. Afterwards she posted a thank-you for the “dreamy lunch” on Instagram, as well as a video of her smashing the restaurant’s monkey piñata dessert.

After a grand, but bland, dinner with Donald Trump last week, The Duchess of Cambridge had a much nicer meal this week. She was at Spring, Skye Gyngell’s popular restaurant at Somerset House on Wednesday, for a dinner to raise money for Addiction Awareness Week. Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and Meet Joe Black actress Claire Forlani were also among the guests.
