Rapper and presenter of cult food show Fuck That’s Delicious, Action Bronson is in London and is eating extremely well. In the last 24 hours, the chef has visited three of Eater’s 38 essential restaurants in the capital, as well as a cult-favourite wine bar, and an Indian casual dining institution.
Bronson, who has appeared at Islington’s Black Axe Mangal on previous visits — the heavy metal, meat-heavy, tattooed aesthetic very much fits with the chef’s image — was in Shoreditch last night. First, he appeared at Passione Vino, the Italian wine bar on Leonard Street operated by industry favourite Luca Dusi. There, Bronson took part in a blind wine tasting and ate a plate of saucisson. His gourmet adventure then appeared to take him to Dishoom, Shamil and Kavi Thakrar’s Bombay Cafe-inspired restaurant on Shoreditch High Street, where he put away a lovely looking laminated bun maska, per the chef’s Instagram Stories.
Not full and carrying with him his trademark appetite, Bronson made his way down Columbia Road, to Brawn, Ed Wilson’s timeless and brilliant ode to the Mediterranean. It isn’t known what he ate when there — perhaps a plate of fine fresh pasta — but he did leave space for a bar snack or two at Jon Rotheram and Tom Harris’ peerless modern gastropub, the Marksman on Hackney Road.

That was last night. Today, meanwhile, erstwhile Mangal 2 Twitter handler, Ferhat Dirik, announced that the star was at the Dalston Turkish restaurant this lunchtime. Dirik has been live tweeting content, beginning with the news that Bronson was in charge of building the day’s doner, and culminating with the chef serving his guests at best seat in the house.
The journey goes on. Where will Bronson go next? Check back for more live updates soon.
