Who doesn’t love to kick off the weekend with a good steak? Singer Dua Lipa, who’s been busy with trips to Glastonbury and the British Summer Time Festival lately, was at Sette for dinner on Friday evening.
Rapper and host of Fuck, That’s Delicious Action Bronson is on an enviable London food crawl. He’s already visited three of London’s essential restaurants, as well as Indian favourite Dishoom and east London wine hotspot Passione Vino.
London was covered in rainbows over the weekend as Pride came to town. The most colourful place to be was Berners Tavern, which hosted a huge brunch before the parade started in aid of the Albert Kennedy Trust. Fashion designer Henry Holland, DJ Nick Grimshaw and Ru Paul’s Drag Race champion Violet Chachki were among the guests.
On Sunday, The Only Way Is Essex’s Lauren Goodger ventured into the West End. She was among friends enjoying brunch at the STK at the ME London hotel.
It’s been a particularly busy week at Annabel’s. On Monday night, Rachel Weisz dined there with fellow Brit actors Felicity Jones and Jude Law. On Tuesday, Nick Grimshaw was back in the city centre to host a pub quiz, and Victoria star Jenna Coleman dropped in for dinner on Wednesday.
Sometimes you just need an artisanal sandwich or a slice of overpriced quiche. On Tuesday, former Coronation Street actress Julie Hesmondhalgh — who played Hayley Cropper — was at the Gail’s in Camden for a lunch with friends.
Later that day, novelist Louis de Bernieres was at Brown’s in Covent Garden, along with Coyote Ugly actor Adam Garcia and actress Harriet Thorpe. They’d all been to see the new stage adaptation of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, based on de Bernieres’ classic novel.
On Wednesday evening, TV presenter and model Alexa Chung was at a slap-up dinner at Harry’s Bar, hosted by wine brand Bird In Hand. She was joined by model Daisy Lowe and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie.
