Where you went for dinner this weekend may have depended on if you prefer Scotland or China.
On Saturday night, the Annabel’s kitchen stocked up ahead of its Chinese New Year celebrations. Susie Bubble, Betty Bachz and Mimi Xu came together to host the evening, welcoming the Year of the Rat. Rapper Tinie Tempah and actors Ruth Wilson, Jessica Brown Findlay and Jack Fox were among the guests.
Across town, The Ned chose Scotland. Alexa Chung, Jack Guinness, Edie Campbell, Pixie Geldof, Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri and Olympian Victoria Pendleton celebrated Burns Night with supper and a ceilidh, complete with a riotous set from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers (get it?!)
Annabel’s had a bit of a busy week: Margot Robbie was seen there having dinner on Monday evening, ahead of her promotional activities for new film Birds Of Prey. And upstairs, Country & Town House Magazine threw a party dedicated to British brands, with Dame Vivienne Westwood and actor Gala Gordon on the list.
David and Victoria Beckham had a romantic date night on Saturday. They were seen by a west London local dining at Sette, the New York-Italian in Knightsbridge, which hosted Phil Neville’s surprise birthday party. They enjoyed a dinner of spaghetti with tomato and basil, and pear cinnamon crumble tart for dessert.
Back in the Nineties, Princess Diana made Le Caprice the it restaurant for royalty. Now, her doppelgänger is trying somewhere new. Emma Corrin, who is currently filming season four of The Crown — in which she plays the young Diana — was out for dinner at Ducksoup in Soho on Sunday evening. Does this technically give them a royal warrant?
Quaglino’s in St James’s loaded up on the champagne this week, hosting the Costa Book Awards. Bibliophiles in attendance included Sian Williams, Penny Smith and Anneka Rice.
Winter is... here. And so is a Stark. Sophie Turner, Sansa in Game Of Thrones, was seen having lunch at The Ivy Soho on Wednesday afternoon, with her husband Joe Jonas.
