Taylor Swift’s integration into London society continues. The singer, who just released the video for her new song “The Man”, has been in the city a lot lately, thanks to her relationship with actor Joe Alwyn. On Saturday night she was in Soho for Joe’s birthday, held at Bob Bob Ricard. Perhaps the “London Boy” inspired restaurant crawl is about to happen for real.
Guests also included Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn. It is not clear which guest gave Joe a gift of an English dictionary: Paparazzi pictures of the couple leaving show him clutching a copy along with his other presents.
The Wallace Collection in Marylebone has a pretty decent brasserie in the courtyard out back. A solid choice for afternoon tea or a quick lunch. Just ask Michael Gove, the MP and former secretary of state for environment, food, and rural affairs. He was there for food and more urban affairs on Sunday, according to Eye Spy MP.

Superstar DJs Peggy Gou and Sam Shepherd, aka Floating Points, popped into Shoreditch for some ambient cafe vibes. They visited Leila’s Cafe, attached to Leila’s Shop, on Calvert Avenue.
Gary Lineker put aside the crisps for the night on Sunday, and instead made a beeline for Riva. The beloved Italian in Barnes was his choice for dinner with his sons, George, Tobias, Angus and Harry. George, posting on Instagram, offered the caption “Sunday with the elites.”
DNA is becoming big business, with services that offer insights into your ancestry, diet and health becoming more lucrative. So naturally there’s budget for a nice dinner or two. Wednesday night saw Circle DNA, one such brand, host a feast at the Ivy Soho Brasserie, thrown to announce entrepreneur and TV presenter Poppy Jamie as a new ambassador. Chloe Delevingne was among the guests.
Also big business? Dogs. George, the Mayfair members’ club, has always had a close connection with man’s best friend: it’s very dog-friendly. It took things further on Wednesday evening, hosting the launch of their new Charitable Dogs Committee. James Middleton — brother of the Duchess of Cambridge, who’s working on a documentary about dogs’ positive effect on mental health — was among the attendees, as were Yasmin and Amber Le Bon.
