The government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme has gotten the take-up from plenty of great London restaurants. A third of the city’s Michelin-starred restaurants have signed up, while there are deals to be found now on the city’s best burgers, peerless udon noodles, outstanding liang pi, delicious dal puri roti, hypey plates of fresh pasta, and much more.

The discount, 50 percent off up to the value of £10, applies on food eaten in, cannot be claimed on alcoholic drinks, and can only be used at participating venues on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in the month of August.

Check the restaurant’s website in case there are any restrictions, or indeed extras attached to its offering this month.

Note: all those included in this guide offer outside seating, because it’s still the surest way to stay safe, and protect those around you, while eating out in the city. Plus, right now, it’s roasting.
