The Best London Restaurants and Bars to Catch Super Bowl LIV

Cheer on Kansas City Chiefs or San Francisco 49ers with plenty of beer, spicy wings, burgers, and other football fare

View as Map

Super Bowl LIV, or Super Bowl 54, or Super Bowl 2020: it matters little. It’s Kansas versus San Francisco. It’s Chiefs vs 49ers. On 2 February 2020, the Super Bowl, a.k.a. America’s greatest sporting event is back, and along with it will come the usual American football fanfare, half time adverts, half time performances, and half time tweets. Food is high on the agenda of even the casual Super Bowl-observer, so London’s restaurants, pubs, and bars have signed up to the task of catering well into Monday’s early hours as they show the NFL game. Super Bowl 2020 is an excuse for a food-fuelled night out with friends who don’t care about field goals, downs, and touchdowns as much as it is ripe for analysis of what goes on on the field between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

Note: Tickets often required, so checking with venues and booking beforehand essential.

1. Wingmans

332 Kilburn High Rd
London NW6 2QN, UK

Before they had their own place, Wingmans was already familiar to London-based American football fans, offering up multi award-winning buffalo wings street-side at the NFL’s Wembley games. Now in a Kilburn restaurant, buckets of those wings will be slung out to happy Super Bowl acolytes, with free drink refills and a large screen for the main event.

On game night, staple American beers like Brooklyn Lager and Goose IPA (though, this being St. James’, at almost £10 a hit) will accompany bourbon and themed cocktails on the drinks list. Basic at first glance, corn dogs and nachos should be welcome, given the bar’s regular menu is orchestrated by well-travelled chef and former Salt Yard director Ben Tish.
